Review: Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS
At first glance, it looks like your average Mario platformer. The box shows Mario jumping over to some Bricks, while avoiding a Goomba with a Tandooki tail. But then you put the game cart into the 3DS, and this is where it shines. This review will be seperated into “Graphics”, “Gameplay”, “Audio” and then a summary of the game in general.
Nintendo 64 Android Emulator, N64oid, back up for download
Remember how the Nintendo 64 Emulator, n64oid, got removed from the Android market for some reason? Well, thanks to the long hours of searching here at Coburn’s Domain, we’ve managed to find the emulator and bring it back for the public to download.
Now, the latest version we found was version 1.1.4, and the author doesn’t seem to have a homepage. That aside, you can grab the installation package at this link. Plug in your Android device, select USB Mass Storage (or Memory Card Access) and copy that file over. Then, use your favorite File Manager to install N64oid.
Project Café: Nintendo’s next-gen console details leaked, surprise in store
As posted on the Emuparadise message forums under the user of lizard81288, some details of Nintendo’s upcoming console-to-end-all-consoles have surfaced. Of course, Coburn’s Domain can’t confirm if these specifications are authentic, but we’ll try to confirm them. Here’s the skinny (with commentary):
A new report from French technology website 01net says that the recently rumored Nintendo HD platform is currently codenamed Project Cafe. The site, which leaked NGP specs before its announcement, claims to have tech specs and controller details for the console.
Video Follow-up on the Nintendo 3DS Hands-on
We’ve uploaded the videos to our server, showing off the Nintendo 3DS as per the last article we published yesterday. The first video shows off the consoles’ features. Do note the “Development” text on the back of the unit.
The second video is a recording of the game that the 3DS was running, which was Nintendogs + Cats. Includes the issue when the 3DS unit froze on us. Sorry about the robot-like voice – blame our camera for that.
Australian Nintendo 3DS Booth Event: Hands-on by Coburn’s Domain
At a recent Top Gear Live event that our IT reporter, donttrythis and myself attended, we got a demo of the Nintendo 3DS running a demo of Nintendogs + cats. We “patted” them in-game, which after some time, the 3DS itself crashed. Oops.

US and Europe: March 2011
The price tag will be around $300 US Dollars. It remains to be seen when the release date will be for Australian Markets. An SD Card is also included in the box.
Nintendo’s updated rehash of the Wiimote Controller
Nintendo has done it again and has scheduled a release of the new Wiimote Plus in November, which is a Nintendo Wiimote (Wii Remote) only with the MotionPlus add-on integrated with the remote itself.
The bundle also comes with FlingSmash, and as gameplay suggests, it puts the Wiimote Plus to good use. Gamers that were disappointed with the Motion Plus add-on falling out of their Wiimote controller in the middle of playing MotionPlus games should be happy to know that this new controller eliminates that issue.
Nintendo 3DS: $400 AUD a pop
Recent rumors suggest that the upcoming successor to the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS will have a price tag of $300 USD (US Dollars).
The price of the console itself in question, was seen on Amazon on a “pre-order” 3DS placeholder item with a price tag of 199.99 GBP (British Pounds), which roughly equates to about $400 AUD – $100 more than the price of the original phat Nintendo DS when it first launched. With the positive feedback the new console has been getting, Nintendo may be raking in the money when it hits the store shelves.
