Why wait? Windows 8 Transformation Pack transforms Windows 7 into Windows 8
Transformation Packs have been around for some time. A few years ago, the most common one was the Vista Transformation Pack for Windows XP, that made your Windows XP installation look and feel like Windows Vista. There was also one for Windows Server 2003, that converted it into a rock-solid XP Professional installation.
Moebuntu: It’s Ubuntu, only moeifed.
Some Japanese anime/moe character fans have built a desktop pack for Ubuntu (called Moebuntu), transforming the bland “Coffee Brown” appearance into something more appealing. Everything is customised, including title bars, colors, icons, sound sets, and the works. This pack would be perfect for people with female friends that are also into anime, or people who want a change from the generic themes. All Ubuntu software packages still work as the pack uses an installed copy of Ubuntu to achieve the desired effects.
K-ON! Desktop Accessories Pack
Fans of the K-ON! Anime Series will rejoice at the fact that an official K-ON! Desktop Accessories (called K-ON! DTA) pack has been released a while ago, allowing you to get all of the moe goodness from the anime series, right on your Windows desktop. Linux users shouldn’t feel left out, as most of the accessories will run fine under WINE, a Win32 application wrapper for Linux systems. The pack in question was found on some english BBS thread after a twitter user called @kyonkun linked to it.
