Look out Apple iPhone 4S, the Raspberry Pi will kick it out of the hot seat

Let’s face it – Apple sometimes likes to boast about it’s products hardware being the fastest in the class. While it might seem true to some extent depending on what you use the iDevices for, the founding member of Raspberry Pi, Eben Upton, has stated that the Raspberry Pi should provide at least twice the performance of an iPhone 4S in a wide range of activities. Eben also throws nVidia’s Tegra mobile chip out the window.

iMessage comes with iLeakTexts – It keeps sending Texts Stolen iPhones Even After Wipeout

Did your iPhone recently get stolen or lost? Well, beware. The latest security issue on iOS devices is that iMessage, one of the core iOS features will still send you messages to stolen iPhones, even after you’ve decided to nuke your data using “Remote Wipe”.

As quoted from Gizmodo:

Beware: if your iPhone gets stolen, it will keep receiving messages sent via iMessage even after a remote wipe out and deactivation. The thief—or whoever buys the stolen terminal—would be able to read whatever is written to you.

We’ll admit that the Coburn’s Domain Labs does have a old 700Mhz G4 Apple eMac, but when this floated past our inbox, we couldn’t help but say “Cute”.

Powered by a hidden Arduino inside the basket and a infrared beam, when the cat breaks the beam, the Arduino realises it’s got a cat inside the cosy eMac shell, and supposedly “boots” up the eMac. Partner this with an LED light that cycles colors, and it provides the best sleeping experience your cat can thank you for. When kitteh exits the eMac, it’ll power itself off.

Samsung Moves to Stop iPhone 4S in Australia

If you haven’t already heard, Samsung has taken a bite out of the apple and has filed a lawsuit against Apple as revenge for them banning the Galaxy 10.1″ tab in European countries.

The latest product of Apple, the iPhone 4S, could be pulled from sale after Samsung filed a lawsuit with the New South Wales Registry in Australia.

Samsung’s Australian lawsuit alleges that the new smartphone (Apple iPhone 4S) violates 3 (three) Samsung patents. As quoted:

Apple’s former CEO, Steve Jobs, has passed away.

If you looked at the Apple website, you might see the above picture.

It’s true – Steve Jobs passed away after battling pancreatic cancer for a long time. Born in 1955, he revolutionized the computing world with the Apple Macintosh, and iDevices.

While his death comes as a surprise to many, his spirit still lives within the foundations of Apple Headquarters, where he once was the CEO of the company.

Apple’s WWDC: What to expect and when to expect

During the start of this month, the fruity computing company known as Apple held a Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Fransico, USA about the latest things to come this year.

Apple’s Big Three with release dates:

1. Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” – July 2011
2. iOS 5.0 – Fall/Autumn ’11 (Northern Hemispere)
3. iCloud – Fall/Autumn ’11 (Northern Hemispere)

So, what can we expect from each of the offerings that might very well improve our current devices? Well, we can say this:

iPad 2.0 rumors spread like wildfire, but will it be the successor to the current “magical” iPad?

Apple has been caught in the rumor spotlight recently about the iPad getting a upgrade, and according to an article over at Tom’s Guide, an unnamed source has leaked some details for the 2nd generation iPad.

While the current 1st generation iPad (in it’s 3G and WiFi forms) took some heavy criticism at it’s launch, and not to mention the bad female “pad” jokes that followed soon after, the 2nd generation iPad could have a new overall design.

Dawn of the Big Apple: Your iPhone apps are leaking your private data

A recent investigation conducted by the Wall Street Journal has revealed that smartphones don’t keep your personal details private – they are sharing your data widely and regularly.

The investigation collected 101 applications for Android and iPhone devices, and it was revealed that 56 (55.45%) of the collected apps sent personal data such as device ID, the user’s name and age, gender and other personal info to outsiders.
