Apple’s WWDC: What to expect and when to expect
During the start of this month, the fruity computing company known as Apple held a Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Fransico, USA about the latest things to come this year.
Apple’s Big Three with release dates:
1. Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” – July 2011
2. iOS 5.0 – Fall/Autumn ’11 (Northern Hemispere)
3. iCloud – Fall/Autumn ’11 (Northern Hemispere)
So, what can we expect from each of the offerings that might very well improve our current devices? Well, we can say this:
Coburn’s Domain launches Nintendo 3DS Hacking Wiki; let’s hack that Nintendo 3DS
The Nintendo 3DS Hacking Wiki is a wiki deciated to portable freedom on the recently released Nintendo 3DS. By portable freedom, we mean, custom software (also known as homebrew) running on the 3DS, such as console emulation, movie players, system software mods and 3DS Linux, just to name a few.
The 3DS Hacking Wiki can be found here, at http://3ds.coburndomain.net. Of course, it’ll be a slow start, but if we all pitch in and help out, before we know it, we’ll have homebrew running on our 3DS consoles. See you there!
Mozilla pumps out Firefox 5.0 beta editions, faster browsing and enhanced security
The Mozilla team have continued their efforts to improve the Firefox Web browser once again, with the Firefox 5.0 beta. This release aims to compete with Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 that had been released a couple of months ago.
Mozilla encourages people who wish to take the plunge and test drive Firefox 5 to do so at the Firefox Beta download page. Please note that some addons will not work until the authors release Firefox 5-compatible versions of them.
Nintendo 64 Android Emulator, N64oid, back up for download
Remember how the Nintendo 64 Emulator, n64oid, got removed from the Android market for some reason? Well, thanks to the long hours of searching here at Coburn’s Domain, we’ve managed to find the emulator and bring it back for the public to download.
Now, the latest version we found was version 1.1.4, and the author doesn’t seem to have a homepage. That aside, you can grab the installation package at this link. Plug in your Android device, select USB Mass Storage (or Memory Card Access) and copy that file over. Then, use your favorite File Manager to install N64oid.
iDroid Developers: androidoniphone.com is a SCAM, DON’T be a victim

The iDroid Project crew have recently discovered that some scammers are attempting to drain your wallet by monetizing the iDroid Android port for jailbroken iPhone 2G/3G/4s, and iPod Touches which allow you to boot Android natively on the hardware itself. The annoucement was made on twitter under the name of @iDroidProject:
What the Firefox 4 Do Not Track Feature really does
Privacy on the internet is an issue that should be taken seriously. For example, some websites (and Google themselves owns one such website) out there do nothing else but mine information users send to websites to display targeted ads to unwary people.
What people do on the internet can been seen by the big ad companies who don’t care about user privacy – they are more interested selling information (such as user browsing habits, if a user clicked on their ads, etc) for a quick lump sum of cash from other interested parties that use their collected data to make their advertising material more “personalized”.
Sony XPERIA Play does Mario Kart 64 & Star Fox 64
It’s a blast from the past.
N64oid, the N64 emulator for Android phones that recently got pulled from the Android Market has been demoed running on a Sony phone, called the XPERIA Play. The software, along with the XPERIA Play’s game pad are a joy to use with N64 emulation.
Quick ‘n’ Easy Howto: Flvtubesearch.co Malware Removal
Having been infected with a nasty piece of malware (aka malicious software) that slipped past my computer’s defenses, I decided to remove this virus/malware from my Toshiba M300 laptop, as it was causing erratic behaviour.
This flvtubesearch.co malware had been a pain in the butt and every time I wanted to search something, instead of using Google or Bing. I tried my ways of getting rid of it, but no dice. Enter the inner geek.
