3DS Homebrew Update: Homebrew runs via Serial I/O, apparently.

According to a hacker under the nickname of “MSaki” on our IRC channel, who chimed in to say that unauthorised (aka homebrew) binaries have been successfully running on the Nintendo 3DS, homebrew has seen the light on the supposedly locked-down console.

We cannot confirm if the guide is genuine, as we don’t have a test Nintendo 3DS to try it on.

Review: Dual-USB Port 5000mAh Power Bank; Packs a punch, even charges an iPad!

MiLi Power Crystal compared to the 5000mAh Power Brick.

No, it’s not a pocket HDD. What you see above is a Generic Chinese Power Brick, that is charging off my MiLi Power Crystal as per the official name of the device. We got this one from eBay, search under “5000mAh power bank”. Postage was fast from Hong Kong – we ordered it Thursday last week, and got it on Wednesday. Price tag? Well, $38 USD which was ~$32AUD due to the high Aussie Dollar.

Quick ‘n’ Easy Howto: Flvtubesearch.co Malware Removal

Having been infected with a nasty piece of malware (aka malicious software) that slipped past my computer’s defenses, I decided to remove this virus/malware from my Toshiba M300 laptop, as it was causing erratic behaviour.

This flvtubesearch.co malware had been a pain in the butt and every time I wanted to search something, instead of using Google or Bing. I tried my ways of getting rid of it, but no dice. Enter the inner geek.
