SMS Scam on the loose, claims to be from World Bank giving away $7.8 million

Today, I received a SMS Message from a sender who masked themselves as the “World Bank” around 11:30AM Brisbane (GMT+10) time. The message told me that my mobile number had won $7.8 Million US dollars and to claim this “prize”, contact a person via an email address.

After researching more about this fake SMS, I’m letting you know that this is a scam. If it’s too good to be true (and this is the case), do not reply to the sender or do what they ask what they you to do in the SMS. If you do so, you’ll most likely become bankrupt.
