Sonic Colors: Box Art, Trailer and Release Date revealed
The long-awaited installment in the Sonic Wii game series has almost arrived, with Sega doing the honors of releasing a teaser trailer, along with a expected release date.
Rated E for Everyone, with ESRB’s rating of “Cartoon Violence”, the offical Sega trailer looks very promising indeed. Despite the epic failure of the 2006 Xbox 360 and PS3 bug-riddled Sonic the Hedgehog game, Sonic Colors may be the antidote to Sega’s bad Sonic game track record. The trailer can be seen below:
While the music track sounds like the opening of a Vocaloid song from Project Diva, gamers will experience DeJa Vu when they find out that another theme song that doesn’t go down too well with a Sonic game has made it’s way into the official game, which knocks the “Seven Rings In Hand” theme song off it’s own perch. The box art:
The usual Sonic action includes loop-the-loops, eggman-robot exploding attacks, bouncing off red and blue starred ping-pong-ball-cut-in-half springs, and collecting rings. Graphic-wise, the game seems to be pushing the Wii to the absolute limit, providing Xbox 360 visuals on the Nintendo Wii hardware. Sadly, no Xbox 360 or PS3 ports have been announced. Playing the game in HD Mode is to doubt going to provide a visual feast, impressing both Sonic game players new and old alike.
And… There’s cake. Seriously, did we just see Sega take a shot at one of Mario Galaxy 2′s cake galaxies? While looks alone don’t do the justice, it’ll be a matter of time before the verdict comes into play. Both the Wii and Nintendo DS versions are due to come out on 16th of November.
