RadioShack Wireless Headphones Review

PUT THOSE HEADPHONES IN! This is what you get from family members or someone else when they are watching TV nearby and you are playing a game on your laptop. With that out of the way, onto the review.
Every now and then people want to watch and listen to what they want, without bothering family members, due to the fact there might be a new born baby sleeping, people need some concentration when writing an report for their boss at work, people sleeping nearby or they can’t stand what is being played through your laptop’s speakers. Unfortunately, the latter is most likely my case.
So, to save having to always put a headset/headphones on which results in restricted freedom until the cord is caught around something and they get ripped out of your ears or the headset goes flying off your head, there’s a product by RadioShack allowing you have maximum freedom allowing you to go anywhere in your house and still listen to what’s on TV, your iPod or what’s playing in Windows Media Player. It’s called the RadioShack Wireless Headphones, which allows you to go about 50 meters away from the transmitter and still get the audio signal.
The box contains the base RCA cable, AC Power Cable, Transmitter and the Wireless Headphones. Sadly, no batteries come with it. Build quality is really good, I’ve dropped them and they won’t break. Going into a metal shed can cause unwanted interference (and bad audio signal).
Coburn’s Comments:
Having tested these myself, they are not bad. The fun thing is that you can get GPRS noise if your mobile phone is getting a call or a message. This only happens if you’re running on 2G (and your phone uses the 900Mhz band), if your phone runs on 3G, no interference occurs. The fact that no batteries come with the device is also a bit dodgy, but overall, they can’t be beat unless you want super-duper bass-pumping brain-exploding supersonic headphones.
