Black Rock Shooter OVA Released
Black Rock Shooter’s bikini-clad heroine makes a epic return in the form of a 55-minute long OVA. The Original Video Animation is a continuation on the actual Black Rock Shooter song sung by Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku. While originally crowned as the “alter ego” of Miku, the heroine has a eye that bursts into flames when enraged, and also carries a sword. Some fans have also raised an eyebrow as to the hair style, which is somewhat similar to Azusa from K-ON’s twin-tail hair style.
Within the first few minutes of the video, there is already a scene where Black Rock Shooter and her arch nemesis are clashing swords and dust goes flying. The OVA is based on 2 friends, Mato and Yomi. After a year or two, they get seperated, and Mato hangs out with Yuu, a new classmate. Yomi is left out in the cold, and eventually turns into “Dead Master”. After this happens, Yomi is reported missing. Mato can’t stop crying, when suddenly, a mysterious text message is received from Yomi. Mato travels to their favorite place, only to find a cell phone strap. A strange light emerges from the strap and fueled by the desire to be with Yomi again, Mato and Black Rock Shooter infuse together and go into the “Other World”.
